Just back from the San Francisco WordPress Meetup where Sibylle and I had a very good time with Matt, the author of WordPress. Jason was there as well, and we all discussed WordPress past, present, and future.
The biggest thing I walked away with is just how, um, nice Matt is. Not nice in a hold-the-door-open-for-you way, although I’m sure he would, but more of a I’m-genuinely-interested-in-what-you-have-to-say way. The only common thread I’ve found among people I admire is that they have this niceness about them. That’s really not a good enough word: nice. I don’t think english has the word I’m looking for. Hmmm. You could always say “cool.” That’s the word to use when you can’t think of a better one, right? Ok. Matt’s cool.
