Which thread to pull?

Before the web became popular, secrets were a lot easier to hide. Now we have government scandals, lies, treasonous activities, and more available for dissemination thanks to the web. It’s tricky to determine reliable sources of information sometimes, but it’s tricky in meat-space sometimes, too. Rigorous Intuition has an article about keeping up with the deluge of decreasingly shocking information.
More and more it seems to make sense to hold on to just one thread if you want to destroy a sweater.
