Deeply rooted in the mission of educational equity, Briana comes to UnboundEd with a decade of experience in the public education sector. Briana started her career as an educator through Teach For America, teaching elementary and middle school in Wilmington, DE. Through her experience in the classroom, Briana realized the impact of hiring great Talent and alternatively the implications of when that is not the reality which led her to the role of Recruitment & Selection Specialist with The School District of Philadelphia.
Briana started at The School District of Philadelphia as a recruiter, managing the recruitment and selection process for over 200 elementary schools eventually becoming the Manager of Recruitment and Selection. As the Manager of Recruitment & Selection, Briana managed a team of instructional recruiters while leading and conducting searches for instructional, school leadership and central office based positions.
Briana was born and raised in Philadelphia and holds a Bachelor’s of Economics degree from Spelman College and a Master’s of Education degree from Wilmington University.
