Jimmy Han has worked in education for over 16 years. Before joining UnboundEd, he served as the director of assessment programs & support services at the New York City Department of Education. In his role, he led a team responsible for developing and implementing formative assessments in over 1,600 schools citywide, including professional learning, communications, and operations for all programs. He played a key role in developing various formative assessment resources for English Language and Multilingual Learners. Previously, he served in different program and project management roles at the American Institutes for Research, which involved working with multiple states to develop and administer K-12 summative assessments, including Florida, Hawaii, Minnesota, Ohio, and Utah. Jimmy developed a passion for K-12 education while working as a teaching assistant at an elementary public school in Brooklyn, New York. He spent the early part of his career at Kaplan, working in their International English and Test Prep divisions.
