About the Miniseries
The Florida Materials Adoption Miniseries is designed for Curriculum Coordinators, Directors, Instructional Coaches, county offices, and all those involved in material adoptions.
The sessions will guide participants through building and communicating their “why” for material adoption, developing a strong adoption process, and centering their choices around the unique needs of their local Florida district.
Session 1: Foundations for a Successful Materials Adoption: Building and Communicating Your Why
During this one-hour session, we will dive deep into Why High-Quality Instructional Materials matter in Florida. Participants will engage in strategies to build their own local why and learn ways to communicate and involve community members in the adoption process throughout the five-phase adoption process.

During this 90-minute session, we will dive deep into our five-phase adoption process and provide resources to begin planning for a successful adoption process. Learn action steps that you can start now, whether you are planning to adopt new materials next year or in three years, and lay the foundation for a strong planning process. Gain the tools to develop and strengthen your adoption process through a clear vision for instruction.
