Gurmeet Mohem

Regional Director

Gurmeet Mohem brings over 20 years of experience in the education space to the team. Born in India and immigrating to the United States at age six, she began school without speaking English—an experience that profoundly shaped her lifelong commitment to educational access, equity, and opportunity.

Gurmeet began her career as a special education teacher and later earned a single-subject teaching credential in English. After completing her master’s degree in education, she worked in higher education as an adjunct instructor and curriculum designer. She also holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instructional Design, which has been instrumental in her transition from academia into the education technology and professional learning space.

Over the past decade, Gurmeet has partnered closely with school districts to support the adoption and implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) across content areas. Her work is grounded in the belief that while access to high-quality tools and resources is essential, true equity requires sustained systems-level commitment and deep, ongoing professional learning. She is deeply aligned with organizations like UnboundEd that support educators and leaders in doing the long-term work necessary to create thriving, inclusive learning environments. Gurmeet firmly believes it takes a village—and she is passionate about being part of that collective effort.
