Maryia Krivoruchko

Project Management Systems & Operations Director

Maryia leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide project management office (PMO) systems. Through launching and implementing systems and tools, Maryia manages cross-functional interdependencies, facilitating collaboration across teams to solve complex challenges and drive organizational success.

Maryia started her career as a Teach for America corps member and special education teacher in the Bay Area. Later, Maryia was a lead elementary teacher in Los Angeles, piloting a blended learning program and leading her school’s transition to the California Common Core State Standards. After the classroom, Maryia championed talent initiatives in teacher selection, retention, and new teacher development at Green Dot Public Schools. She joined Pivot Learning as a Program Manager in 2021, leading projects focusing on improving instructional materials in California through district adoption best practices and state-wide advocacy. She then led Pivot Learning and later UnboundEd’s Innovation team and portfolio, focusing on launching and scaling products that increased the organization’s overall impact.

Maryia is a proud graduate of California public schools, an immigrant, and a former Multilingual Learner. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, a Master of Public Policy in K–12 Education Policy from Vanderbilt University, a California Multiple Subject credential, and a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certificate. She lives in Southern California and enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends (and the best cat in the world) in her spare time.
