Sierah Tyson

As the Senior Director, Design at UnboundEd, Sierah drives the vision, design, and strategy for UnboundEd’s two leadership development programs. In her previous role as director, she developed content, trained cohort facilitators and coaches, and configured the learning management system for over 250 participants. She supported the development of The UnboundEd Planning Process™, Standards Institute™, and other partner work.

Sierah was a Michigan Education Policy Fellow and a secondary English teacher in Detroit, Michigan, before joining UnboundEd. Sierah is a former English Language Arts specialist. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Education from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Sierah also curated The Education Nomad project, where she traveled around the United States to capture best practices and amplify teacher voices via blogs. Sierah proudly coordinates UnboundEd’s Woman of Color Affinity group and The Kindness Project, which focus on empowerment, wellness, and unity.
