Sophie Green

Sophie Green has worked in education for nearly ten years, first as a teacher and then as program staff for educational equity efforts in California’s nonprofit sector. In her role as Strategic Initiatives Director, Sophie manages grant processes and development work for the organization, and lends her design, strategy, and writing expertise to both program staff and leadership. Sophie comes to UnboundEd from the Opportunity Institute, where she worked on a variety of initiatives, including development of district strategy for equitable implementation of whole child supports, and with state and local agencies and advocates to build more robust systems of stakeholder engagement that focus on equitable inclusion. As a teacher, Sophie worked with extraordinary young people teaching art at a high school designed to support over-age and under-credit students. Sophie received her B.A. at Dartmouth College and her teaching certificate through Teach for America’s partnership with the University of Pennsylvania.
