A shared instructional vision is essential for improving educational outcomes. An instructional vision is a clear, concise statement articulating what effective teaching and learning and high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) should look like. It serves as a shared North Star for educational practices and decision-making.

Leaders of GLEAM Instruction use their instructional vision to:

  • Guide choices about curriculum and resources.
  • Inform the focus of professional development.
  • Articulate expectations and goals to teachers, students, families, and the community.
  • Build a sense of collective efficacy within teams.
