About the Submissions
CEOs in EdReform
These Chief Executive Officers know what it’s like to be the “other” in a room. While neither Robinson, Ramanathan nor Odemwingie had “CEO” on their career wish lists when they started teaching, their lived experiences prepared them to lead these equity-and justice-focused organizations and the power of their perspectives is a driving force in their success. In this panel, these three dynamic leaders will share the stories, stumbles, and successes that lead them to the CEO seat.
Speakers
- Lacey Robinson, Chief Executive Officer and President, UnboundEd
- Arun Ramanathan, Chief Executive Officer, Pivot Learning
- Michelle Odemwingie, Chief Executive Officer, Achievement Network
Everyone’s a Math Person
UnboundEd and Pivot Learning promote culturally responsive instruction in math by working with educators to design and implement solutions like adopting and implementing high-quality instructional materials. This session will elevate the school district voice, focusing on what is needed to transform coherent instructional systems with Pivot and UnboundEd’s Math Identity Leadership Accelerator® (MILA™), where leaders learn how to apply culturally responsive math practices.
