UnboundEd Planning Process™ (UPP) Lesson Makeover Series: Planning With Student Funds of Knowledge

Transform your teaching practices with our UPP lesson plan makeovers.

During this three-part professional learning series, we explore strategies for adapting lessons and tasks to meet the needs of all learners. Each session centers on a key question:  “How can I transform my lesson plans to better support student engagement with grade-level content?” For a hands-on experience, we use lesson plans submitted by participants for live makeovers. n Lesson Makeover 3: Planning With Student Funds of Knowledge, we will adapt a task to include students’ funds of knowledge. Participants will learn how to adapt an existing task or lesson to strategically incorporate students’ funds of knowledge. They will explore how to affirm students in the context of rigorous, grade-level work.
