As Vice President, Partner Engagement, Suruchi works to ensure school systems’ experience with UnboundEd’s programming aligns with their local context and positions them to translate professional learning to student impact. Suruchi began her career in Washington, D.C., where she taught reading, writing, and mathematics in K-6th grades and designed and implemented the first inclusive special education program in the school’s history. In 2009, Suruchi had the unique opportunity to be on the founding team of a public charter school in West Philadelphia; she started out as the coordinator for special education, interventions, and assessments, and later took on the role of assistant principal. Prior to joining the UnboundEd team, Suruchi served as director of instructional coaching & training at AIM Institute for Learning & Research, where she led a team of trainers and coaches charged with providing professional development programming in evidence-based literacy instructional practices for hundreds of pre and in-service teachers, as well as school, district, and state leaders. Suruchi earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Linguistics, and Spanish at the University of Michigan and her Masters in Special Education with a concentration in learning disabilities at American University.
