How We Partner

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Today, UnboundEd announced a strategic collaboration with HMH to support California districts implementing HMH’s Into Math California curriculum through a coherent, system-level approach to leadership, professional learning, and classroom implementation.

As districts continue investing in high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), many are seeking stronger systems to ensure those materials are implemented consistently and effectively across schools and classrooms. Through this collaboration, UnboundEd and HMH will help districts connect leadership vision, curriculum coherence, professional learning, and classroom practice to support stronger mathematics teaching and learning.

“Successful implementation requires more than selecting strong instructional materials. It requires aligned leadership, coherent systems, and a shared vision for teaching and learning,” said Linda Chen, President of UnboundEd. “Through this collaboration with HMH, UnboundEd is helping districts connect their instructional priorities to day-to-day classroom practice so that educators and all students can fully benefit from high-quality mathematics instruction.”

The partnership brings together UnboundEd’s expertise in instructional transformation, leadership development, and the GLEAM® framework with HMH’s experience in curriculum implementation, professional learning, coaching, and instructional support. Together, the organizations aim to help districts move beyond curriculum selection toward sustained instructional improvement and greater impact for students.

“At HMH, we know that strong instructional materials are only one part of the equation,” said Jim O’Neill, President of Core & Supplemental Solutions at HMH. “Sustained impact happens when curriculum, professional learning, leadership, and classroom practice work together. We’re excited to collaborate with UnboundEd to help California districts strengthen implementation, support educators, and create more meaningful mathematics experiences for students.”

The collaboration is designed to bring together UnboundEd’s expertise in instructional coherence and the GLEAM framework with HMH’s curriculum, professional learning, coaching, and implementation supports, helping districts create greater coherence from district planning through classroom instruction.

The collaboration will begin with initial engagements in California, providing district leaders, coaches, and educators with an integrated approach to implementation that combines high-quality instructional materials with aligned leadership and instructional support.

By bringing together UnboundEd’s implementation expertise and HMH’s high-quality instructional materials, the partnership aims to help districts build coherent instructional systems and support grade-level, engaging, affirming, and meaningful mathematics experiences for every student.
