Mark Hastings has spent nearly 20 years in education, working in classrooms, in school leadership, and alongside district partners. He began his career as a middle school math teacher. He went on to serve as a math curriculum director and school co-founder, which gave him firsthand knowledge of what it takes to build strong instruction from the ground up.
For the past decade, Mark has supported school districts across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic in transforming instruction by implementing high-quality services and instructional materials. That experience taught him that high-quality materials matter only when educators have the support, clarity, and collaboration to use them well.
As Regional Director at UnboundEd, Mark draws on his experience as a teacher, school leader, and district partner to help districts strengthen instruction. He works closely with district and school leaders to understand their goals, identify the right supports, and build the conditions in which every student has access to rigorous, grade-level learning.
