Shannah is the founder and principal consultant for Compass Learning Partners. She most recently served as the Managing Director of the Learning Solutions team at EdReports.org where she led a national portfolio of technical assistance work with school systems across the country to ensure students get what they need from curriculum and instruction, and is continuing that important work with Compass Learning Partners. Previously, Shannah was the Director of the Standards, Assessment and Instruction initiative with the CORE (California Office to Reform Education) Districts and focused her work on supporting the districts in their professional development strategies, school improvement initiatives and assessment development.
Shannah brings decades of experience in schools and school systems. She started her career as a middle school math and science teacher in Hanford, CA and has served as an instructional coach, district math coordinator, faculty for local teacher preparation programs and professional development director. She is a proud graduate of California State University, Fresno where she received her Bachelor’s and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. Go Dogs!
