UnboundEd and CORE have submitted a panel, Emerging Tech, Emergent Bilinguals: Opportunities and Gaps, for consideration at SXSW EDU 2025. Voting for sessions is now open, and we need your help securing a spot at the conference!
About the Panel
Maya Valenica Goodall, Chief Strategy Officer, CORE Learning, and Kristie Shelley, Chief Product Officer, CORE Learning, will discuss how Multilingual Learners have interacted with educational technology in the classroom. Although widely used, these tools have not been designed to meet the needs of students learning English at school.
Despite this, new technology like generative artificial intelligence and machine learning can support language learning, offer our teachers diverse cultural and linguistic perspectives that support and engage their students, and provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment for teachers to experiment with their language skills and cultural understandings.
